For all non Autostar II telescopes, the ASRCP will allow you to control the telescope if you have a functional RS232 port (which on certain models, it’s on the hand controller and on others might be getting routed back to the hand controller). Can you still control your telescope from a PC?

The ASRCP allows you to download the menu tree of the Autostar and you can use that to move around and control your mount in a familiar way. Here again, if the controller is dead then this will not work…

The Sky Atlas interface has the NGC catalog which you can search on that and use the Aladin interface.
